Massage therapy facilities must follow the existing Directed Health Measure criteria for facility patron limits for beauty/nail salons, barbershops, massage therapy services, and tattoo parlors/body art facilities. Massage therapy facilities are required to meet the following guidelines established in collaboration by the Division of Public Health, the Department of Economic Development, the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA), Nebraska Chapter, and the Get Nebraska Growing Task Force in addition to the standards outlined in the DHM. Consult your nearest DHM; in some areas, an exception to the mask rule has been made for face-to-face services offered by staff. To comply with DHM and reduce the number of people in the store, stagger shifts
Staff can bring a change of clothes with them to change into after their shift
Create signs/posters informing people of the new policies
Encourage people to make appointments online or over the phone rather than showing up in person. Use advance payment online, contactless payment, cards, and gift cards instead of cash if possible. Between each use, employees should disinfect the POS surfaces.
